Solar Fountain Pumps

Hello! While I was looking at exactly what solar Garden fountains were available out on the web and I came to appreciate just how true Lori’s forword was! There is a wealth of ambiguous and often repetative information out there, but hidden within this morass there are some genuine bargains and good deals for those of you that are attracted to the idea of setting up a Solar garden fountain water feature in your home.

Our friends at serentiy health have an interesting product called the Sunjet 150 solar fountain pump. Currently it retails for about $40 (+ S&H) on their site. It is an ideal starter solar fountain pump perfectly capable of tranforming a ceramic or resin bowl of yours into a pleaseing water feature that you can position, and reposition, anywhere in your garden as often as you please. It is powerful enough to provide a decent spray in a small fixed pond as well though, I think the beauty of this sort of thing is its portability. But I thought to myself is that the best deal out there for our readers? Probably, Serenity health do some excellent stuff but to be sure I did a little digging. Heres what I found.

The device pictured above is the Instapark 10V Solar Pump Garden Fountain Pond Water Feature It retails for about $5  more than the Sunjet 150 but has a  more powerful pump rating shifting 60 gallons per hour over the Sunjets 40, and because the company is offering it through Amazon you can qualify for a Free Shipping to your door, making it even better value.

The drawback is of course that this is a comparatively unknown company to me. But it spurred me on to take an even closer look to see what bargains could be had for those of you that share our interest in Solar Garden pumps and fountains. So if your thinking about adding a solar fountain pump to your shopping list make sure you consider both of these fine products.

Floating Lily Solar Pond FountainOne of the great things about Solar Foutain pumps is of course the fact they need no wireing or heavy duty installation requirements.

This makes them idea for adding that bit of crucial water movement to a hard to acess pond. This modle, the floating Lily solar fountain pump while a little whimsical can provide a genuine service to a gardener that likes keeping a few fish in there decorative pond.

Just drop it in any pond of at least a foot deep and the device will help airate and circulate the water giving any fish in there an added healthy boost to there waters oxygen levels. For many years my dad had a small (but quite deep) pond in his back garden that was filled with goldfish. But his pride and joy was the clusters of exotic looking lilys that he had growing from it.

One of these days I hope we can rebuild that delightful water feature and include in one of these devices to add that delightful sparkle of water falling to the mixture of colours of the Lilys and darting fish.

The Lily Solar fountain pump is a completely self contained unit made of a robust plastic resin. It is just under a foot in diameter with its single large leaf having the built in solar collector (as illustrated). The fountain heads are interchangeable and it comes with a selection of three different fountain styles so it should blend in with whatever mood your pond has.
